Connect LinkedIn
Updated 28 October 2026
LinkedIn connects the same way as Instagram: your LinkedIn email, your password, and sometimes a code. Two minutes, only once, and your history comes in afterwards.
Where to do it
In the app, open Settings > Connections and pick LinkedIn. The "Connect your LinkedIn" screen asks for:
- your LinkedIn email address;
- your LinkedIn password.
Your credentials are only used to log you into LinkedIn. They travel over an encrypted connection, and Ficiel never stores them.
If LinkedIn asks for a code
LinkedIn may ask for a check. Depending on the case:
- a code is sent to you: type it in the "Verification code" field. Every new send creates a new code, so always enter the latest one;
- an approval in the LinkedIn app: confirm from your phone, then come back to Ficiel.
If nothing arrives, check where LinkedIn sends your codes in your LinkedIn account's security settings.
If LinkedIn refuses your credentials
Ficiel simply tells you LinkedIn refused these credentials: double-check your email and password. After two refusals in a row, the easiest move is to log in directly on linkedin.com and see whether LinkedIn is asking for something we can't see from here (a password change, a check).
"Finish connecting another way"
If you're stuck, the fallback "Finish connecting another way" opens a secure page where you finish connecting directly. On that page, your session connects from the country you're in: turn off your VPN first.
As with Instagram, your session connects from a country: Ficiel prefills it from your connection. If you use a VPN, pick the country where you live.
An even more careful pace
On LinkedIn, a restriction could hit your professional account, the one that carries your network. So Ficiel applies a stricter sending cap there than on Instagram and WhatsApp, and waits longer between two messages to the same person. As everywhere, nothing goes out without your approval.
In short
- LinkedIn email and password, which Ficiel never stores.
- A code or an in-app approval may be requested: always enter the latest code.
- Stuck? Check on linkedin.com, then use "Finish connecting another way".
