Connect WhatsApp

WhatsApp connects without any password: you link Ficiel as a device, from WhatsApp on your phone. The step on your phone is required, and it only takes a few taps.
Where to do it
In the app, open Settings > Connections and pick WhatsApp. The "Connect your WhatsApp" screen walks you through it: a code to link from your phone, no password to hand over.
Two ways to link
Ficiel offers one of these two methods:
The code to scan
- Open WhatsApp on your phone.
- Go to Linked devices.
- Scan the code shown on Ficiel's screen.
The code to enter
- Enter your WhatsApp number, then click "Show the linking code".
- Open WhatsApp, Linked devices, Link a device, then "Link with phone number instead".
- Enter in WhatsApp the code Ficiel shows you.
Either way, Ficiel's page notices on its own: there's nothing else to confirm.
If the code expired
The code stays valid for a few minutes. If you miss it, come back to Ficiel's screen, ask for a new one, and enter it in WhatsApp right away. Nothing is broken: you just need to be a bit quicker the second time.
What connects, and what doesn't
Ficiel connects to the WhatsApp app you use on your phone. A WhatsApp that only runs through an API can't be connected.
As with any linked device, you stay in control: the link goes through an encrypted connection, and you can remove it whenever you want, from WhatsApp (Linked devices) or from Ficiel (Settings > Connections, "Disconnect").
After connecting
Your WhatsApp history then shows up in your Ficiel inbox, next to Instagram and LinkedIn. Kord can prepare WhatsApp follow-ups just like on the other channels, and nothing goes out without your approval.
